Breakfast, the most important meal of the day. The mornings heartiness is important for nutritional balance that helps jump start our metabolism and kicks off the day. Not so much here. Where on warm mornings an ice-slushy with a cream consistency called a granita served with a soft rounded brioche bread are consumed. No offense, although delicious with many flavors to choose from, my American bred appetite hungers for substance less superior than the sugary melting taste of granita. While the almond-coffee granita settled in my stomach, breakfast was in its final stages of preparation and nearly ready to be devoured, after a picture, of course!
My Healthy Homemade recipe:
- Boil potatoes sliced in quarters. Remove and drain.
- Heat skillet with olive oil and parsley. Cook potatoes to liking adding salt and pepper.
- Place sliced boil eggs with fresh parsley leaves and dashes of Tobasco sauce.
