DIY Cork Board Frame

Back in April while unpacking our household goods, I noticed a long scratch on the right side of my framed print. A gift I cherished from my Dad that was given to me for Christmas 7 years ago. I lOVE trees! Anyway, with our office needing a little sprucing up, I had the idea to cork part of it rather masking it up with chalkboard paint. I also included an old framed photo kept in storage. This project was so quick and easy I had to share my DYI project with you.

Package of two rectangle cork for 12.50 euro.

Using one cork to measure inside of frame, I used Sharpie pen to line my sizes.

Craft scissors worked well.

Hot glued yellow ribbon and bark crayon to accent our office decor.

Our office space and a desktop photo of a picture I took and edited myself 3 years ago.

Great idea. Great office. I look forward to seeing the ‘work in progress’ on the bedroom side. It looks good now but I appreciate the desire for ‘change’.

If you have chosen to iasntll a floating cork floor in your new office, then you’re showing proof of discerning taste and practicality. Cork is an excellent material for floors and a floating floor is also a great way to go. Caring for your cork flooring on a daily basis is extremely easy and simple. It is sufficient to remove dirt with a broom, preferably one that is anti-static. If needed, a quick wet mop will take care of spills or other stuck on dirt. In case of a stubborn spot you can add a small amount of mild soap to the water.

Thank you! The less things I have, the more organized I feel. 🙂

I’m so glad you liked it! I haven’t seen a cork board with print like mine. Have you? Thankfully my gift wasn’t damaged enough and so it meant a lot not to have to cover up the whole print!

Ahhhh thanks Rivers! Maybe I should post more interiors…… I’m always curious how the ones I follow live. Can I give you a photo challenge? How about photographing an area or items from within your residence? Give your favorite followers a sneak peak? Whether it be natural or artistically presented……YEAH?
