Buffalo? No a Musk Ox moved in.

2018! My oh my, where has the time gone? With a lot of changes in 2017 such as buying our flat,  remodeling and settling in whilst mixing in some traveling to places such as Milan, Dubai, Singapore and California, the year has whisked by! I can’t imagine what this year will bring but I’m most definitely looking forward to bringing some new things to the new year as well!

If you know me by now, you know that I have a soft spot for animals, particularly for dogs. So when I was asked to collaborate on a print project with the lovely folks at Printler, I surprised my self by choosing  (what I thought was a buffalo but really) a Musk Ox print from their company. A web shop dedicated to “framed art and artistic posters” from photographers all around the world! With hundreds of incredible and interesting options to choose from, I took my time going through their selection and for some reason, I kept going back to this Myskoxe, by Sweden photographer Håkan Olsson.

I’ve never owned an animal print and now I’m realizing that this gorgeous bull-headed animal with its strong understated gaze, broad shoulders and demanding pose as photographed here reminded me so much of our little blue French Bulldog Laffy. Am I silly? Nah.Laffy and OxFrenchbull dog on sheepskin rug.Muskoxe Musk Ox Håkan OlssonIMG_5010

Thank you! Thank you so much Printler! I enjoyed styling this print! Gros Bisous!

Hello All! I’ve recently discovered an up-and-coming web shop mixing crisp and minimalistic designs in easy-to-wear fashion, modern handmade jewelry, streamlined decor & interior and uncomplicated beauty products made from carefully selected designers throughout southern and eastern Europe.

Since discovering their Instagram page, I’ve admired their quality photos and versatile appeal!

Below I’m featuring their gorgeous easy to wrap ‘snake ring’ and both their black stone notebook’ and ‘white stone notebook’ which are perfect for my every day look, monochromatic style and practical use.  I love my new products and I appreciate all the kind people behind utopiast!

Cotton Mouth?

Today I tried going back to my usual Florist in search of 4 cotton branches to help decorate our home for Fall. While headed that way I was thinking about all the things I could do with the buds and most especially how I would string a few along a thread of natural twine. Finally reaching my flora destination and grazing past the black plastic buckets, I didn’t see any. Well aware of how the shop displays their stock and not willing to wait in que to ask if they expected more any time soon, both my impatience and Laffy’s yanking tow, it was best we started out on a cotton branch hunt. Thirty minutes later and after walking by 6 other floral shops in our neighborhood, I had finally given up and decided that I’d happily live with the 2 that I already had. I made good use of these lovely branches, even snipped off a few buds so that I can share with you, some simply ways on how to style these fluffy white buds for your dining table. I’ll unravel the other styled images through out the home on my Instagram account at parisandpups.
