Hello Lovelies!

In general consensus.

Are already following The Printable Concept on Instagram?

THE PRINTABLE CØNCEPT, Created by Julie who herself is an artist, graphic designer and the entrepreneur of this webshop whose digital pages are beautifully presented and go in-line with the prints both she and the carefully selected artists have created for a monochromatic & minimalist lover such as myself. I’ve been following Julie’s Instagram account for awhile and when I saw Lorelei, I fell in love with this print!

Lorelei, designed by artist Julie Groleau, is still looking for a permanent home in our flat, but knowing me, this sexy and thought provoking print will be moving around and around for years to come. Instagram will have to tell her story in pictures  but for now, she’s styled here…

Atelier CHP Abstract Design in Living

IMG_9760

Hi there!

I’ve been meaning to share this new print that I had received from The Poster Club. An online retailer based out of Copenhagen specializing in a variety of prints from many on trend and established artists. This particular one that I choose was created by Atelier CHP and is simply titled ‘Abstract Construction.  I love it!

As quoted on their website,

‘For this collection we explored different styles from cubism to abstract sculptures. The inspiration for the limited collection is found in contrasting materials and sculptures where the human face gets interpreted in an abstract way. The art work is created by layering elements of hand painted shapes and colours. The colour palette is inspired by the 70ties adding a splash of colour to the home’.

I selected this print for 2 main reasons. 1; it did reflect a conceptual face and reminded me of the complexities of our Sapien expressions and 2; the monochromatic colour scheme wouldn’t detach from the interior style already in place yet still added depth and structure for a minimally designed space. Wouldn’t you agree?

Big thanks to everyone who contributed in the creating & distributing of this art work!

Cotton Mouth?

Today I tried going back to my usual Florist in search of 4 cotton branches to help decorate our home for Fall. While headed that way I was thinking about all the things I could do with the buds and most especially how I would string a few along a thread of natural twine. Finally reaching my flora destination and grazing past the black plastic buckets, I didn’t see any. Well aware of how the shop displays their stock and not willing to wait in que to ask if they expected more any time soon, both my impatience and Laffy’s yanking tow, it was best we started out on a cotton branch hunt. Thirty minutes later and after walking by 6 other floral shops in our neighborhood, I had finally given up and decided that I’d happily live with the 2 that I already had. I made good use of these lovely branches, even snipped off a few buds so that I can share with you, some simply ways on how to style these fluffy white buds for your dining table. I’ll unravel the other styled images through out the home on my Instagram account at parisandpups.
