On top of the Grund
Despite its small size, Luxembourg is rich with history and extremely beautiful! A sovereign state nestled between France, Belgium and Germany. Luxembourg finally obtained independence from its “foreign domination” during the 19th century after the Burgundian, Spanish, French, Austrian and Dutch ruled. Luxembourg is a prosperous country succeeding in preserving its charming identity through its rich culture.
Take a look!
Wander through the fairytale-like village of Grund, pop in out of history and art museums like the Musee Drai Eechlenand, Musee national d’Historie et d’art and Musee d’Historie de la Ville like I did. Did you know… In just under one mile there are 7 museums to explore! Thus making visiting each museum easy! Strung-out in a smile like arch on a map, each museum is unique by design and worth taking a peek. Even if for a quick stop in the gift shop. (Which is always free of charge) Also, make time to take a leisurely stroll around the Centre for some shopping. Just be sure to walk under the row of colorful umbrellas!
